Overview

Facility Technician (Mechanical) - Night Shift. Location: Dalton, GA. Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt. Reports to: Facility Manager.

Summary: The Facility Technician (Mechanical) is responsible for preventive maintenance on equipment used in the manufacturing process to ensure the successful execution of production activities in accordance with industry standards and manufacturing timescales.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness of machine and machine components using hose, air guns, IPA, cloths, vacuum and other approved appliances.
• Disassemble machines and remove parts for replacement or repair using chain falls, hand tools and jacks.
• Examine or carry out tasks on broken machine parts and identify defective parts or provide recommendations to supervisors on repair requirements.
• Replace, fix or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications.
• Apply adhesives, lubricants or other materials to machines or their parts in accordance with stated procedures.
• Assemble machine parts after maintenance and repair work.
• Remove hardened material from machines or parts using power and hand tools, jack, sledge hammer, abrasive and other appliances.
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Q CELLS.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
• Have general knowledge of electrical components and motor control.
• Have general knowledge of HVAC and VRV systems.

Required Qualifications

• 1-2 years of cognitive and vocational experience in handling machines and machine parts.
• 1-2 years of knowledge in mechanical maintenance and electrical processes.
• Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctions.
• Discipline to execute tasks without procrastination.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to execute orders and/or demands in a timely manner.
• Ability to handle basic tools.
• Learn how to operate the BMS System, Dock Door/Leveler Maintenance, Dust Collector Maintenance, Exhaust Fan maintenance, Humidifiers and High speed Doors.
• Strong knowledge of safety precautions.
• Ability to illustrate general maintenance requirements and procedures for operation on various pumps including reciprocating, centrifugal, vane, etc.
• Able to tolerate a fast-paced work environment in areas that are not climate controlled.
• Assertive, able to cope with pressure, a team player.
