Summary of the Process Technician Role

The Process Technician is responsible for the startup, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of injection molding presses, auxiliary equipment, and secondary production equipment, ensuring safety and quality are prioritized. The technician ensures all machines operate at optimal cycles, documents process settings, changes, water diagrams, and other relevant information to facilitate future setups and production runs.

Activities

1. Set up, start up, diagnose, and troubleshoot injection molding presses, auxiliary, and secondary equipment, maintaining safety and quality standards.
2. Document process settings, changes, water diagrams, and relevant data for future reference.
3. Complete quality inspections (visual and dimensional) timely, correct non-conformances or machine malfunctions immediately, and inform quality control of non-conformances.
4. Adjust processes to ensure efficiency and quality.

Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in injection molding or as a Process Technician.
• Good knowledge of plastics, PVC, materials/resins.
• Knowledge of injection molds.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification beyond high school is preferred.
