Maintenance Mechanic II – 3rd Shift (9:00 PM – 5:30 AM) at Crawford Thomas Recruiting client in Auburndale, FL (Onsite).

Location: Auburndale, FL (Onsite)
Schedule: Full-time | 3rd Shift | Monday – Friday
Compensation: $27.09 - $30.57 + $2/hr Shift Differential + comprehensive benefits

This facility plays a critical role in bringing their mission to life, producing and packaging beverages with creativity, precision, and care.

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic II to join the 3rd shift team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional with experience in high-speed manufacturing to make an immediate impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment, including motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, and other mechanical systems.
  • Perform emergency repairs safely and efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and complete work orders within the CMMS system.
  • Disassemble, inspect, reassemble, and test equipment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Document all work performed during the shift accurately and clearly.
  • Support installation of new equipment and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Required: High school diploma or GED. 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of food & beverage production processes, equipment, and yields. Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, pulleys, belts, sprockets, motors, bearings, seals, and pumps. Ability to read and apply product manuals to perform accurate repairs. Strong math and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred: Technical degree, trade school, or apprenticeship. Fabrication or welding skills. Prior experience troubleshooting major packaging and production equipment (unscramblers, fillers, sleevers, tray packers, palletizers).
