Overview

Housekeeping Supervisor role at MCR Hotels in Cleveland, OH. The position involves supervising housekeeping operations, ensuring rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are clean, safe, and well-organized. The Supervisor may assume duties of the Executive Housekeeper in their absence and may clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed.

Base pay range

$17.00/hr - $19.00/hr

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily housekeeping operations and staff in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed.
  • Lead daily stand-up meetings to review objectives and assign checklists.
  • Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure quality and cleanliness.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage rooms, mechanical rooms, housekeeping closets and laundry areas.
  • Stock guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart setup.
  • Remove trash and used linens and replenish guest room supplies.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance for deep cleaning and repairs as needed.
  • Monitor and respond to guest requests; ensure proactive problem solving.
  • Maintain inventory of housekeeping and laundry supplies; place orders as needed.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of chemical supplies in accordance with OSHA standards.
  • Maintain key control for the department.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience in hospitality, service, or related field; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to a team environment.
  • Ability to follow guidelines and procedures; work well under pressure.
  • Effective listening and conflict-resolution skills; clear communication.
  • Desire to provide hospitality and excellent guest service.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Good time management: clock in/out on schedule and manage breaks appropriately.

Physical working demands & environment

  • Stand or walk for extended periods; may lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Operate computers and other office devices; perform data entry as needed.
  • Move about the hotel to access guest rooms, public areas, and storage areas.
