Overview
Sr. Housekeeping Attendant position at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center (LWRMC). Full Time with a varied schedule. The role reports to the Director of Environmental Services and is responsible for providing housekeeping services to maintain a sparkling clean, hygienic and safe environment that is patient- and family-centered.
Responsibilities
- Routinely cleans patient rooms in a timely manner after discharge, and may clean nursing units, surgical areas, offices, laboratory areas, waiting areas, public restrooms and other areas as assigned.
- Provides linen services throughout the facility.
- Monitors the facility with a critical eye to catch items that need cleaning and attention.
- Uses cleaning supplies and equipment as regulated to provide a safe cleaning environment.
- Demonstrates service excellence at all times.
- Is trained in the use of Cerner and a laptop and carries a laptop to electronically receive and communicate work assignments to the EVS housekeeping staff.
- Tracks the start and finish time of assignments to ensure they are completed within the sixty-minute allocated time.
- Carries a Zone Phone to receive ad hoc requests and assigns the request via the Cerner process.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- OR prior EVS work experience required.
- Minimum of 1 year in the current Housekeeping Attendant position required.
- Basic computer skills required to enter patient room turnover.
- Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.
- Must be able to work with cleaning supplies in a safe manner.
- Must be able to multitask with safety practices.
