Overview

Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift at AAM, based in Twinsburg, Ohio. The role supervises hourly associates and oversees planning, scheduling, setup, and running of production activities to meet daily production schedules. The position emphasizes maintaining labor and material requirements and ensuring a safe, compliant production environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise production associates including selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and mentoring.
• Communicate job expectations, monitor and appraise contributions, and support adherence to policies and procedures; participate in compensation actions when applicable.
• Aim to meet production goals by observing process volumes and recommending adjustments.
• Coordinate production processes by monitoring progress, expediting material flow, and resolving issues to achieve desired results.
• Improve process workflow by eliminating stoppages and analyzing delays.
• Complete daily shift production reports.
• Maintain production status communication with incoming shifts regarding requirements and issues.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy production environment by following organizational standards, policies, and legal regulations; alert others to potential concerns.
• Support production process and organizational success by welcoming related, different, and new requests and assisting others to accomplish results.

Qualifications

• 2+ years supervising production staff
• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience
• Experience working in PLEX systems or similar
