Overview

We are seeking a 3rd shift Bulk Milk Receiver / Shipper to join our team based at our West Springfield, MA plant. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position on the 3rd shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM). The base pay is $26.93 per hour, with an additional 10% night differential added to the base rate. There is eligibility for rate increases every 6 months during the first two years of employment, and opportunities for advancement. This role works in the receiving bays with milk tankers and will involve sampling, temperature control, laboratory analysis, unloading, loading, and storage of milk, cream, or other blends in compliance with governmental regulation. Maintains a sanitary work environment, including Clean In Place (CIP) washing of equipment and cleaning of walls, floors, ceilings, and other non-contact surfaces. The position may involve driving a yard horse on the property; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sample, and store milk, cream, or other blends in accordance with governmental regulations.
• Operate in the receiving bays with milk tankers; perform temperature checks and laboratory-related analyses as required.
• Unload and load materials; ensure proper storage and inventory control.
• Maintain sanitary conditions in the facility, including CIP washing of equipment and cleaning of surfaces.
• Operate a yard horse on the property as needed (training provided).
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety guidelines; handle and maneuver objects weighing up to 100 lbs as required.
• Assist with ongoing quality and process improvements; participate in training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required, with strong writing and math skills.
• Preference given to candidates with experience in a manufacturing setting; mechanically inclined candidates may be more successful.
• Ability to work in a 3rd shift environment and handle occasional physical tasks (up to 100 lbs).
• Demonstrated knowledge of GMPs and willingness to follow safety and regulatory requirements.
