The Maintenance Technician installs, maintains, and repairs ordered production equipment, items, and infrastructure through electrical and mechanical work in an industrial context, while following health & safety protocols.

What you’ll do

The Maintenance Technician installs, maintains, and repairs ordered production equipment, items, and infrastructure through electrical and mechanical work in an industrial context, while following health & safety protocols.

The Role:

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment for emergency repairs and carry out preventive maintenance routines.
• Help to install complex systems and conduct inspections of equipment with guidance.
• Find the most effective ways to respond to routine functional enquiries. Involves following procedures and precedents.
• Conduct complex analyses, quality tests and inspections that require a high level of independent judgment.
• Develop working knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures and of regulatory codes and codes of conduct relevant to own work, adhering to mandatory procedures to ensure own work is undertaken to the required standards.
• Follow a range of mandatory procedures and methods of work (including use of personal protection equipment where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
• Organize own work schedule each day in line with changing priorities.
  
  

Ideal Qualifications

• Ability to read complex electrical prints
• Ability to modify existing prints in AutoCAD
• Ability to navigate existing 6 axis robot programs
• Thorough understanding of dual channel safety circuits, safety programmable controllers and safety system components such as light curtains, area scanners, safety door interlock switches, E-stops.
• Experience with Servo Systems and steppers
• Ability to assemble vision system components and lighting
• Experience working with Sensors and Vision Systems
• Three or more years of experience in manufacturing maintenance role
• Three or more years of automotive manufacturing experience .
  
  

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
