Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED preferred; alternatively, demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer instructions in English, with basic math skills.
• At least 3 years of experience as a diversified machinist.
• Participation in the company's FAA Drug & Alcohol Program is required due to FAA regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work.

Responsibilities:

• Perform set-ups for production and prototype parts.
• Specify electrode size and configuration, and determine EDM operation sequences without operation sheets.
• Verify setups against operation sheets and engineering drawings.
• Use inspection equipment to ensure close tolerances.
• Train and oversee EDM Operators.
• Utilize various EDM machines, transferring between machines for setups and adjustments.
• Operate the Surface Grinder to regrind electrodes.
• Establish EDM machine parameters for optimal machining rates.
• Identify and report unusual conditions such as electrode wear or defective materials.

Salary Range:

Buffalo, NY: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
