Overview

Rochester Electronics is hiring immediately for Assembly Operator I on the 3rd Shift. This is a temporary position with the potential for conversion to a permanent role within 30 to 60 days.

As an Assembly Operator you have

• A high school diploma or GED is required; electronic/semiconductor assembly experience is helpful.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude. Represents, supports, and encourages the Rochester culture by adhering to work policies and practices.
• Stable work history. We value proven track records and commitment.
• Basic computer skills. Will use computer-based manufacturing systems to move products and enter data, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Capable of defining specifications and reporting daily outcomes to management.
• Attention to detail. Responsible for screening, visual inspection, measurements, and sorting of semiconductor devices.

As an Assembly Operator you will

• Operate manual, automatic, and semi-automatic microelectronics assembly equipment with supervision.
• Inspect dies and packages to various Military and JEDEC standards using high- and low-power microscopes.
• Follow defined specifications and reaction paths or written/verbal instructions.
• Use multiple hand tools to process delicate products without damaging components.
• Train other employees on basic equipment operation and the assembly process.
• Maintain well-organized and audit-ready work areas.
• Utilize computer-based manufacturing systems to move products and enter data.
