Overview

MilliporeSigma is seeking a Manufacturing Operator 2 – 3rd Shift at the Milwaukee site. This role focuses on the safe and efficient manufacturing of products used by customers to manufacture advanced semiconductors and life science products. The role requires manufacturing materials using established production procedures while maintaining high safety and quality standards. This role does not offer sponsorship for work authorization. External applicants must be eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities

  • 3rd shift: Sunday - Thursday, 10:00pm - 6:30am.
  • Produce, purify and package chemical compounds to meet customer requirements.
  • Stage materials using warehouse equipment including pallet trucks and powered industrial trucks.
  • Verify the quality and integrity of materials and equipment.
  • Perform in-process analytical testing, update batch records, computer systems, and SAP according to ISO procedures.
  • Demonstrate proper lab, manufacturing and packaging safety practices in accordance with OSHA, EPA, DNR, DOT and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in team objectives focused on safety, quality and production output of key manufacturing processes.
  • Engage in personal and professional development through active participation in development objectives.

Physical Attributes

  • Wear safety equipment (air helmet, respirator mask, safety shoes, rubber apron, chemical protective suits and gloves, safety glasses and goggles) to protect from hazards.
  • Work in occasional wet, humid, hot or cold environments.
  • Move and position body as required (sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch).
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Work with hazardous chemicals.
  • Close, distance, color, peripheral and depth vision required; adjust focus as needed.
  • Use office, laboratory, and manufacturing equipment and work near moving mechanical parts.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior industrial work experience or chemical handling
  • Understand chemical reactions and hazards
  • Understand ISO and quality systems
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and equipment troubleshooting skills; excellent communication (oral & written); high attention to detail and multitasking ability; ability to read and understand written protocols

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range for this position: $22.00-$37.00/hourly. The offer range represents the anticipated base pay range. Final compensation will depend on location, experience, education, and skills.
