Loader/Material Washer 3rd Shift at Michael Foods — Lansing, IL

Location: Our plant, located in Lansing, IL, pasteurizes raw eggs to remove harmful bacteria for a safer product to the foodservice industry.

Pay range: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Break down pallets of raw product and load conveyor belt to transport product to pasteurizers.
• Check product quality (dirty, broken, etc.).
• Keep machines running efficiently.
• Make sure material is kept separated, neat and stored properly and labeled.
• Follow all HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) guidelines.
• Move palletized material using manual pallet jack.
• Watch, correct and report safety issues; communicate issues to production management and maintenance.
• Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained; report any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures; perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or training required.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral form and to deal with problems involving one concrete variable in standardized situations.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to safely lift 35 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to stand on hard surface for most of shift.
• Able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
