Shearing Machine Operator - 3rd Shift

What we need:

Mohawk is looking for a Shearing Machine Operator in the Calhoun, Ga area. In this role, you will be operating a shearing machine.

What you’ll do:

• Shear any goods that require shearing.
• Make sure machines are clean and in proper working order.
• Make sure lint bags are changed and area is clean.
• Assist in keeping work areas in a clean orderly manner.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follow all established standard operating procedures
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management

What you have:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

What you’re good at:

• Pays attention to details.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.

What else?

• Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, walk, sit and stoop.
• Occasionally required to kneel.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds frequently throughout a 12 hour shift.
• Must be able to work 12 hour shifts either day or night, weekdays or weekends as scheduled
