About the role
We are pleased to announce an opening for the position of Sr. Maintenance Technician within our organization. This role focuses on managing electrical and electro-mechanical systems in a distribution center, contributing significantly to operational efficiency and safety.
Compensation & Shift Details
- Shift Details: 3rd Shift, Monday - Thursday, 12:00 am - 10:30 am
- Compensation: This role is budgeted for $29.37 - $36.71/hr. + $0.75 Shift Differential
What You’ll Do
- Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of electronic and mechanical systems, including conveyors, A-Frames, printers, strappers, compressors, and other automated technologies.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues with precision and efficiency, ensuring minimal downtime for facility systems.
- Demonstrate expertise in all phases of facility maintenance, including electrical troubleshooting and repair.
- Be a self-starter, continuously learning about new systems and equipment to enhance your skills.
- Lead and train fellow team members in maintenance processes and best practices. Maintain professional relationships and effective communication with vendors and contractors.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of related experience
What We Need
- Proficient in troubleshooting control systems, from relay logic to advanced microprocessor-based controls.
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- In-depth understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including but not limited to power feeders, transformers, generators, and PLCs.
- Experience in mechanical/HVAC, electrical, or a combination of both for a minimum of 2 years.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and solve problems during regular working hours and on-call situations.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, holidays, and short-notice call-ins.
Preferred Skills/Education
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and light electrical construction experience.
- Experience with Windows XP/Windows 7 and work order systems.
- Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and OSHA regulations.
- Proven leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and communicate effectively under pressure.
- Associate degree, trade school certification, or relevant training in a technical field is preferred
