Responsibilities

• Operating a forklift and other material handling equipment for shipping, receiving, and picking.
• Loading or unloading, scanning, moving, staging, replenishing, and stacking product.
• Counting and inspecting product and notifying leadership of damages or discrepancies.
• Performing duties safely and in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Meeting company objectives in performance, safety, and quality; complying with corporate and site-specific policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Shipping Responsibilities: Use gas or electric powered forklift to load outbound shipments, move product, and stack materials. Load orders accurately according to doors and trailers; follow SOPs.
• Receiving Responsibilities: Use forklift to unload inbound shipments, move product, replenish, stack and store; place products in appropriate storage areas; follow SOPs.
• Picking Responsibilities: Use forklift to pick orders to fulfill client demands; stage products; package, band, shrink wrap, and label as required by client.
• Quality Control Responsibilities: Verify products and orders meet quality standards and document discrepancies; stack, package, shrink wrap, and label as required by SOPs.
• Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance: Enforce safety protocols; maintain clean and orderly work area; comply with SOPs, policies, safety rules, and OSHA/MSDS standards.
• Equipment Operation: Operate equipment including sit-down/stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, scrubbers, scissor lifts, cherry pickers, Aisle Master, pallet jacks; maintain and inspect equipment; maintain forklift certification.
• Maintenance: Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
• Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months experience in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
• Ability to operate MHE (material handling equipment).
• Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.

Skills and Knowledge

• Basic computer skills; RF scanners; WMS functions.
• English (reading, writing, verbal).
• Basic to intermediate math skills to verify quantities and count inventory.
• Strong attention to detail; ability to work with minimal supervision; adaptability to change in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience in warehouse/logistics/distribution.
• 1-3 years forklift experience.
• Current or prior MHE certification.

Physical Demands

• Occasionally handle materials and sit; frequently bend, reach, squat or kneel; lift 21-50 lbs; constant standing and walking.

Work Environment

The role may involve exposure to fumes or airborne particles, with typical noise levels ranging from low to moderate.
