About Gateway Extrusions Gateway Extrusions is a leader in aluminum extrusion manufacturing, committed to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. We’re seeking a reliable Forklift Driver to join our team and help keep materials moving smoothly through our plant.

Position Summary

As a Manufacturing Forklift Driver, you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of powered industrial trucks to transport raw materials, work‑in‑process, and finished goods throughout the facility. You’ll play a key role in supporting production flow, maintaining inventory accuracy, and upholding our high standards for workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Material Movement: Operate sit‑down and stand‑up forklifts to load, unload, stage, and deliver materials to production areas and finished‑goods storage.
• Inventory Control: Accurately record material movements using our warehouse management system; assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Equipment Inspection: Perform pre‑shift and post‑shift safety checks on forklifts and report any defects or maintenance needs.
• Safety & Housekeeping: Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures; maintain a clean, organized work area free of hazards.
• Cross‑Functional Support: Coordinate with production, shipping/receiving, and quality teams to prioritize material needs and resolve discrepancies.
• Documentation: Complete required logs, reports, and certifications related to forklift operation and material handling.

Required Qualifications

• Forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to read simple work orders and inventory documents.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and bend/crouch as needed.

Physical & Environmental Conditions

• Fast‑paced manufacturing environment with moderate noise and temperature variation.
• Regular exposure to industrial equipment, moving machinery, and warehouse traffic.
