We are currently seeking someone to join our team as a Forklift Maintenance Technician.
Based locally in Brookshire, TX.
Duties And Responsibilities Include
- Follow the facility’s preventative maintenance program
- Conduct scheduled inspections of Forklifts
- Maintain clean and organized environment in the Maintenance Department work area; promptly clean up after maintenance and repair work is completed within the facility
- Assist in equipment testing and follow manufacturer’s guidelines
- Perform corrective actions required for out-of-specification conditions as directed by supervisor
- Assist in analytical troubleshooting of issues to maintain equipment.
- Accurately record and document all completed maintenance, modifications, and repairs
- Promptly report observed equipment, facility, and maintenance needs to supervisor
- Make suggestions for changes which would help the facility achieve improved efficiency, quality, and safety
- Assist in maintaining the inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts
- This position is responsible for safe work practices and responsible manner to prevent damage of equipment or property
- Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand, and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills
- Physical effort to move objects and tools that may weigh up to 75 pounds; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling
- A high level of dexterity
- As needed, provide basic tools per the Job
- Operate motor vehicles
- Develop basic computer skills
- Ability to support all plant operations
- Advocate safety at all levels
