Medical Office Associate - Cardiology Office

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and performs administrative and clerical tasks in a medical office setting.
• Completes patient registration and collects co-pays and past-due balances.
• Schedules appointments and captures all necessary documentation and information to complete insurance processes.
• Answers and routes phone calls and provides information on patient billing.

Qualifications

• Formal Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience & Training: One (1) year clerical experience; light typing skills.
• Other Skills & Competencies: Maintain confidentiality of patient, employee, or financial records; strong interpersonal and telephone communication; computer skills with EMR experience preferred; ability to work in a team; sensitivity to patient/customer needs; accountable for customer service behaviors; ability to handle bodily fluids and potential exposure to communicable disease.
• Physical Demands: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally; ability to bend, stand and work for extended periods.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $17.26/hr - $20.71/hr. Salary range is base pay and may vary by experience and location. Hiring at the maximum is not typical.
