Overview
The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory is seeking a Part-Time Office Manager for the Elmira Corps Team. This role supports Corps Officers with office management duties and contributes to a welcoming, organized front office environment.
Compensation
Base pay range: $25.00/hr - $25.00/hr. This range is provided by The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate, oversee, and organize all volunteers
- Order office supplies
- Administrative duties for Corps programming
- Answer and manage phone messages; maintain filing/record keeping
- Process emails to general Corps inbox; handle social media (Facebook)
- Submit billing and weekly CAMs; assist with grants reporting
- Schedule appointments for emergency assistance clients
- Assist with Corps statistics and reports; assist with seasonal applications and Christmas distribution
- Assist with Red Kettle worker data entry and Bell Ringer scheduling
- Maintain confidentiality of clients, shelter/programs, agency, and The Salvation Army
- Receive and record monetary and in-kind donations; send thank-you postcards
- Accept and manage physical donations and packages
- Perform other duties deemed necessary by Corps Officers
Qualifications
- Willingness to uphold and support The Salvation Army's mission and ministry
- Associate degree and 3–5 years’ related experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Mail Merge and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal skills; tactful diplomacy
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy; excellent written and verbal communication
- Comfortable in high-profile situations and with hands-on tasks
- Ability to operate independently; self-motivated and well-organized
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Training in food safety/handling via Health Department as needed
