Responsibilities
- Process orders for material or merchandise received by mail, telephone, or from customers or company employees.
- Operate RF scanners to track product movement; operate pallet jack, forklifts, and cherry picker safely and efficiently.
- Identify and select correct product and quantity; determine partial cases as needed.
- Assemble products on pallets for transportation, minimizing damage; coordinate replenishment with forklift operators.
- Locate supervisors for product substitutions when items are out of stock; monitor product in transit at end of shift.
- Open/close boxes and containers; pick and assemble orders, verify accuracy against picking list, and stage on pallets for loading.
- Sort and place materials by slot assignment, rotate inventory to First In-First Out (FIFO).
- Move product between locations using forklift, pallet jack, or hand trucks; load stacks to ensure stability and security of loads.
- Assist in warehouse maintenance and cleaning; perform inventory-related tasks; receive trucks as needed; inspect received products for quality, rotation, and expiration dates.

- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to present information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure) and interpret bar graphs; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; handle problems with a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
