Overview
Join to apply for the Logos Construction Worker role at Lamar Advertising Company. Our Interstate Logos office in Norcross, GA is looking for a new Construction Worker to help us enhance the Interstate Logos Program. We provide on-the-job training. We’re looking for a full-time Construction Worker to install and maintain our interstate logos signs—the ones that tell you when to exit for Gas, Food, Lodging, etc.
The purpose of the Construction Worker is to install and maintain ground-mounted signs along controlled and non-controlled access roadways. This is completed by receiving a schedule of jobs from the General Manager and driving to each location in a company-provided truck. The Interstate Logos division of Lamar Advertising is the largest provider of contract logo signing and TODS programs, partnering with State Transportation Agencies since 1988. This position requires travel across multiple states and the ability to work up to 10 day work cycles as needed.

What We Are Looking For In You
- Familiar with the use and maintenance of construction power/manual tools, and basic construction equipment and machinery
- Skill in using and maintaining construction power/manual tools and basic construction equipment, including chain saw and wood chipper, to install, maintain, or remove interstate signs
- Ability to lift at least 100 pounds to install, maintain, or remove interstate signs
- Ability to write brief sentences to complete reports on completed jobs
- Ability to take photographs to catalog completed jobs
- Ability to work at heights of 20–30 feet
Education and Experience
- High School Education or equivalent
- Driver’s license is required
- Commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred (not required)
Day in the Life
- Work with other Construction Workers on the installation and maintenance of ground-mounted signs along controlled and non-controlled access roadways
- Installation and removal of additional signs attached to the ground-mounted signs at various heights
- Vegetation control related to the ground-mounted signs including removal of trees, brush, weeds, etc.
- Organization and cleaning of warehouse space and supply yard area

- Outdoor work environment
- Physical demands include heavy lifting, pushing, reaching, reading (color distinction, acuity, depth perception, peripheral vision), sitting (< 50%), standing, stooping, talking, turning, walking, and climbing
- Nights spent away from home traveling are over 50% of the time
