Caregiver Direct Support Professional (DSP) role at REM West Virginia, part of Sevita. REM Community Services provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities
- Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve.
- Support participants with developmental goals like budgeting, dental hygiene, exercise, and nutrition.
- Assist participants with personal hygiene and provide support to individuals who may have behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
- Help participants be part of the community and enjoy their favorite activities.
- Provide care to individuals with a variety of needs, including autism and similar conditions.
What You’ll Bring
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination (preferred).
- Skills: Caregiver - Direct Support Professional (DSP) equivalents listed.
- Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
- Vehicle: Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance in some positions.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage: $13.50 with Pay on Demand options.
- Part-Time days/nights available.
- Benefits: Full benefits package for full-time employees, including a 401(k) with 3% company match; daily pay available.
- Time Off: Paid time off plus holiday pay.
