Overview
Join to apply for the Caregiver role at Sevita (REM Community Services, a Sevita family member). This is a full-time position in West Virginia with daytime or overnight shifts available.
$13.50 hourly with On Demand Pay Options • Full-Time Days
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them grow, learn, and live well.
- Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals served and take initiative to help them participate in the community and enjoy activities.
- Support participants with developmental goals such as budgeting, dental hygiene, exercise, and nutrition.
- Assist with personal hygiene and provide support to individuals who may have behavioral challenges or complex needs, including autism and related conditions.
- Collaborate with the care team and leaders to ensure participants receive appropriate care and opportunities for growth.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination (preferred).
- Skills: Caregiver / Direct Support Professional (DSP) competencies relevant to STNA, Resident Assistant, Home Health Aide, or similar roles.
- Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
- Vehicle: Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance in some positions.
