Position: Call Center Agent

Location: Honolulu, HI

Pay: $17/hour

Experience: 1 year of related experience in a high-volume call center environment preferred.

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm

Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is seeking a Call Center Agent to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description

• Answer and manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls.
• Actively listen to callers, interpreting their needs and concerns to determine the best resolution.
• De-escalate challenging calls and aim for first-call resolution.
• Record all incoming inquiries and call interactions in an internal database.
• Manage private information with the utmost confidentiality.
• Provide time-sensitive responses and appropriately refer callers to publicly available resources.
• Research complex issues using both internal and external resources.
• Consistently meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for call handling, accuracy, and efficiency.

Position Requirements

• A minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute (wpm) with high accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to write clear, concise, and accurate notes and correspondence.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities to research issues and determine the best course of action quickly.
• Ability to work responsibly and effectively without direct supervision.
