Newport Mesa Unified School District BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Administrative Director II, Early Childhood Education or designee and/or Principal, plan, monitor, and oversee the development of goals and objectives consistent with students' needs; organize and implement approved curriculum for the development of children enrolled in the District Preschool program; oversee a single site program and serve as an on-site lead teacher to assist staff and serve as coordinator of curriculum and staff development; initiate communication with the school community and related agencies as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by 24 units of college-level course work in early childhood education and one year experience working with preschool-age children in an organized setting. NOTE: 24 semester units of Early Childhood Education or Child Development are required. Transcripts must be included with application. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid Child Development Program Director permit, Site Facilitator permit or equivalent. Valid CPR/First Aid certificate. Valid California class C driver's license.
