PVM Oil PVM is the world's leading broker of oil instruments, including over-the-counter broking of Swaps, Forwards, and Physical Crude Oil and Refined Products, together with exchange broking of WTI, Brent and Gasoil Futures contracts. Our non-oil business covers broking of Physical and Financial Coal, and EU Carbon Allowances and Offsets. We provide broking and high quality, value-added execution services for Swaps, Forwards, Physical Oil, Refined Petroleum Products, Futures Contracts and Renewables. Role Overview
As a Commodities Broker at PVM, you will execute trades and facilitate high-quality execution services across physical and financial markets, with a focus on agricultural or renewable products. The role involves maintaining and growing client relationships, staying informed on market trends, and identifying new business opportunities. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their needs, support cross-selling initiatives, and ensure compliance with onboarding and regulatory procedures. A strong understanding of your market, attention to detail, and ethical conduct are essential for success in this role. Role Responsibilities
Promote PVM as a company Place or execute trades from client orders Maintain and develop existing client relationships and contact prospective new clients where appropriate Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and markets; solicit feedback from industry participants through trade calls, surveys, industry events, trade shows and conferences Understand the desk’s business strategy and identify new business opportunities related to trends, future markets, products and clients On-board new clients following the correct process with the Client On-Boarding team Assess client needs and financial conditions to identify internal cross-selling opportunities Exercise independent judgement and act with integrity, care, skill and diligence to avoid conflicts of interest and escalate issues as appropriate Build relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders; promote loyalty to TP ICAP and its principles Work ethically and show respect for professional and company values Excellent attention to detail, highly organised with a proactive approach Essential Experience / Competences
Strong market knowledge of agricultural or renewable commodities, including physical and financial instruments Client relationship management skills, with experience maintaining and growing institutional accounts Trade execution experience, including familiarity with swaps, forwards, and futures contracts Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage fast-paced trading environments and ensure accuracy Ethical judgment and regulatory awareness, demonstrating integrity and understanding of compliance standards Desirable
Experience with cross-selling across asset classes or within energy/commodities sectors Knowledge of EU carbon markets or offsets, especially relevant for renewables brokers Established client network in the agriculture or renewables space Exposure to international markets, particularly in emerging regions or cross-border trading scenarios Proficiency with trading platforms and CRM systems used in broking environments Job Band & Level
