RBC Job Description WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The communications manager will help develop and execute communication strategies in support of business priorities. Encompassing communications across earned, owned and paid channels, this role will help drive initiatives to build, enhance and protect the RBC Wealth Management and RBC Clearing & Custody brands in the U.S. WHAT WILL YOU DO? Create and implement communications plans for assigned business areas, with a primary focus on external audiences. Help build brand awareness for the RBC Clearing & Custody business lines. Align efforts with business goals and deliver on public relations and content strategies to support key priorities. Research, write and edit engaging stories that highlight RBC expertise and capabilities and find ways to refresh and repurpose existing content when appropriate. Create messaging, talking points, press releases, bylines and social posts for executives and other key spokespeople. Help run media training sessions and support media opportunities, including interview prep. Collaborate with Communications and Marketing colleagues and other support functions to develop and execute integrated campaigns, amplify content and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key industry and trade reporters. Support senior manager with reputational issue management and crisis communications, when needed. Monitor communications activities and measure results. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Must have: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related discipline 5+ years of communications experience in a corporate or agency environment Experience in public relations/media relations Superior writing and editing skills Detail-focused, with keen critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects and work on tight deadlines Nice-to-have : Knowledge of financial services industry preferred What’s in it for you?
