Patient Access Registration Specialist , you represent a pivotal first point of contact for patients and their families, making a positive first impression crucial. Your professionalism and dedication help guarantee our patients receive top-quality care. We are committed to obtaining comprehensive insurance and demographic data promptly to provide compassionate health services to everyone, regardless of their financial situation. This full-time position requires a flexible schedule to accommodate evening shifts and may occasionally involve overtime and weekend work. Our office is located at 1955 W. Frye Rd. Chandler, AZ. Responsibilities: Engage with patients and their families in person or via phone to complete the registration process, including gathering demographics and health information, and verifying insurance eligibility. Address inquiries from patients and caregivers with compassion and respect. Perform benefits and insurance verification. Collect Point of Service payments, including co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurance. Enter data accurately into computer systems. Scan relevant documents. Organize and schedule patient services and appointments for referrals. Register and pre-register patients for emergency, elective, and scheduled cases. Utilize various systems, including Patient Registration and Electronic Medical Records. Generate, review, and analyze patient data reports, following up on any issues as necessary. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED (or higher). A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hospital patient registration department, physician office, or medical setting. At least 1 year of customer service experience. Over 1 year of familiarity with insurance policies and procedures. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in collecting patient co-pays, deductibles, etc. Background in submitting authorization requests or processing referrals. Familiarity with Google products. Working knowledge of facility pricing structures and cost estimates. Knowledge of ICD9 (10) and CPT terminology. Understanding of medical terminology. Bilingual fluency in English & Spanish.
