Job Overview – Tax Manager – 33895
Our client, a leader in the construction and manufacturing industry, is seeking a Tax Manager to oversee all corporate tax functions and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role will manage income, payroll, and sales and use tax compliance, while also supporting audits, tax planning, and process improvements. The ideal candidate will bring strong public accounting experience, technical tax knowledge, and the ability to provide sound financial guidance to leadership.
Compensation: To $140K.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise corporate tax compliance processes in partnership with third-party providers.
File sales and use tax returns (monthly, quarterly, annually).
Manage audits and inquiries related to income, sales and use, and property taxes.
Assist with quarterly estimated tax calculations and annual filings.
Research and interpret tax legislation, providing recommendations and guidance.
Identify and implement strategies to maximize tax credits, incentives, and planning opportunities.
Review and evaluate accounting procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Tax.
CPA required.
Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience.
Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide sound, ethical financial guidance.
