Summary
A well-established mechanical contractor is seeking a Project Manager to lead commercial HVAC and plumbing projects throughout the Seattle area. This leadership position is ideal for a highly organized professional who can manage full-cycle project execution, build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors, and guide internal teams toward success. Prior experience in plumbing systems is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution Lead planning, scheduling, and execution of HVAC and plumbing projects from preconstruction to closeout Manage estimating, procurement, installation sequencing, and resource planning Oversee contract administration, including scope changes and compliance tracking Prepare and review project documentation such as RFIs, proposals, contracts, and correspondence Monitor budgets and forecasts to maintain quality and cost-efficiency Client & Stakeholder Communication
Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors Represent the company in client meetings and job progress reviews Promote collaboration and accountability across all project stakeholders Team Collaboration & Leadership
Host preconstruction meetings with internal departments to align expectations Coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, and Field Operations teams Mentor junior team members and support their ongoing development Financial Oversight & Strategic Growth
Track billing, costs, and cash flow in collaboration with accounting Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement Support new business development efforts across the Seattle market Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred) Experience:
Minimum of 5+ years managing mechanical construction projects ranging from $100K to $25M+ Proven experience in estimating, cost control, and project forecasting Background in plumbing systems is strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to maintain positive working relationships with clients and teams Skills:
Strong organizational, leadership, and time management skills Excellent communication abilities (written and verbal) Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Familiarity with AutoCAD and Bid Tracer is a plus Compensation & Benefits
