Travel RN Job Details – Med/Surg Telemetry Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry (Resource Pool) Healthcare Setting: Resource Pool – Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025 – End: 1/4/2026) Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Estimated Weekly Pay: $1630 - $1750 Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday rotation required Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state (required for Iowa nursing jobs) Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry or Medical Surgical nursing Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in weekend/holiday rotations Completion of healthcare onboarding and competency checklists Current immunizations and health screenings (COVID-19, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, 2-Step PPD or IGRA, Fit Test) Travel RN Responsibilities – Med/Surg Telemetry Provide high-quality patient care in the Medical Surgical Telemetry unit Monitor and assess patient conditions, including cardiac telemetry monitoring Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans Accurately document patient care and assessments in the electronic medical record (EMR) Respond promptly to patient emergencies and deliver appropriate nursing interventions Participate in required weekend and holiday rotations, including makeup shifts as needed Discover the benefits of travel nursing jobs in Iowa and experience the best of Des Moines while making a positive impact on patient lives.
