Travel Nursing Job Details Job Title: Med/Surg Registered Nurse – Travel Nurse Location: Wausau, WI 54401 (Wisconsin healthcare jobs) Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment Healthcare Setting: Medical and Pediatrics (MAP) Unit – Adult patients only Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and every other holiday End Date: January 10, 2026 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Wisconsin RN license (Registered Nurse) Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg nursing experience; EPIC charting experience required Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred Ability to float to all inpatient units as needed Nursing Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with diverse medical conditions: respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological disorders, gastrointestinal issues, diabetic management, renal failure, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious diseases, and acute alcohol withdrawal Maintain patient ratios of 1:6-7 during night shifts Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes Float to other inpatient units as needed Complete documentation using EPIC EMR system Participate in holiday and weekend rotations as scheduled Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career in Wausau, Wisconsin!
