Qualifications:
Mechanical Engineering Degree – BS/MS, Ph.D. preferred.
15 years Experience drive all aspects of a program from inception, through development, validation, manufacturing transfer and scale up then product launch.

Experience in the
plumbing industry or the field of fluid dynamics
with exposure to
high volume plastic injection molding
and/or
elastomeric part design. Must be have applied knowledge of:
FEA, CFD, GD&T, DFMEA & PFMEA, SPC, Statistical analysis via Mini-Tab or similar, APQP & Tollgate based product development process Demonstrated experience working with highly effective teams across geographically disperse resources, including internationally. Prepares complex design layouts and/or sketches for new product designs and design improvements to existing product lines. Establishes product and project cost estimates. Responsibilities: Generates invention disclosures and/or white papers to stimulate the thoughts and ideas of others. Technical leadership, accuracy and quality of work, including routine analytical analysis, design alternative assessments, stress, computational fluid dynamics and mold flow calculations, failure mode and effect analysis, tolerance studies, part and material metrology, assembly accuracy and system function to specification. Supervise Technicians, Designers or other Engineers: organize their workload, review designs and provide constructive feedback. Analyzes first article data and provides recommendations for approvals and/or corrective actions.
