Patient Access Representative

serves as the initial point of contact for patients, warmly welcoming and guiding them through the registration process. You will ensure all necessary demographic and financial information is collected accurately and entered into electronic medical records. Location:

1175 Nininger Rd, Hastings, MN 55033 Key Responsibilities: Welcome patients in-person with a friendly demeanor. Collect and verify demographic and insurance data. Check in patients and guide them through necessary paperwork. Direct patients to their appointments or procedures effectively. Assist in scheduling additional appointments as needed. Document any issues and resolutions in the electronic medical records. Resolve registration errors and claim issues on patient accounts. Utilize tools and procedures to complete registration for all accounts. Verify insurance eligibility and explain complex billing situations. Provide cost information to patients and explain financial assistance programs. Screen and assist patients with applications for financial assistance programs. Provide guidance and support to colleagues as necessary. Manage inbound and outbound calls, providing excellent customer service. Perform other tasks as assigned. Required Qualifications: At least 6 months of experience in customer service within various settings, such as healthcare, retail, or call centers. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Willingness to work the following rotating schedule: Week 1:

Sunday 2:30pm - 11:00pm Monday 2:30pm - 11:00pm Tuesday 2:30pm - 11:00pm Wednesday 10:30pm - 7:00am Thursday 10:30pm - 7:00am

Week 2:

Sunday 10:30pm - 7:00am Monday 10:30pm - 7:00am Tuesday 10:30pm - 7:00am Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm Saturday 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Must be at least 18 years old. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in revenue cycle management. General office experience is a plus. Familiarity with Epic software. Physical Demands: Ability to walk, stand, bend, and turn consistently. Occasional lifting of weights up to 10 lbs, frequent lifting of 2-5 lbs. *Please Note:* The sign-on bonus is exclusive to external candidates. Current employees of UnitedHealth Group or related entities are not eligible for this bonus. Compensation for this role ranges from $16.00 to $27.69 per hour, based on factors including local labor markets, education, and experience.
