The team collaborates with sales, marketing, product and executive management to deliver Atlassian proprietary events and tentpole experiences. The purpose of these events is to increase brand awareness, drive business growth, build loyalty, and educate attendees. Principal Event Marketing Manager, Proprietary Events

is a role focused on producing B2B technology events ranging in size from 100-5,000+ attendees for internal and external audiences. The role emphasizes a data-driven approach to event execution, program ownership, and managing a portfolio of global touring events, with experience in vendor and venue partnerships, leadership reviews, post-event debriefs, and alignment with business objectives across multiple verticals and priorities. Responsibilities

Lead program management and localization strategies for the 14-18 annual events you and the contingent staff you manage will oversee Collaborate with senior leadership to define event objectives, target audiences, and desired outcomes Lead and develop event strategies and experiences with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with product roadmaps, messaging pillars, business priorities and executive vision Clearly communicate objectives, project status and updates to team members and stakeholders on a regular basis Directly manage and inspire internal and external cross-functional teams who support and contribute to customer-facing event programs Understand customer needs and how in-person and digital events can deliver against those needs to achieve business objectives Leverage a data-driven approach using data to build insights and strategies, and be an expert in event measurement and ROI tracking Design event experiences that engage, educate, and entertain attendees while reflecting the company's values Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve the attendee experience and incorporate insights into future events Address issues during events with quick and effective resolutions Demonstrate contract negotiation skills with multi-million dollar budgets, including monetization, revenue modeling, risk mitigations, attrition and forecasting, and timely closeout of programs Design and build operational structures and processes to ensure team efficiency, while managing cross-functional teams globally to deadlines Continually align and evolve event program strategies to the needs of the business Explore and manage best-in-class agency partners to create top-tier experiences Communicate the ROI of events effectively Demonstrate problem-solving, curiosity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Expected Results

10+ years in event marketing roles in or with a brand-side corporation, or an agency that supports them 5+ years experience with a high-growth enterprise technology company/client Excellent written and presentation skills for senior/executive audiences Direct experience producing various-sized event programs with strong attention to detail Strong project and budget management expertise End-to-end event strategy experience from goal setting using data to execution Experience overseeing event design and creating memorable attendee experiences Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners International project management experience, including localization needs and international budget/finance management Ability to multi-task and adapt to change with interruptions while staying productive Strong prioritization and ability to manage evolving deliverables Ability to delegate effectively and build vendor relationships Willingness to manage all aspects of a program Preferred Qualifications

Experience using Microsoft Office, Mac, G Suite, Confluence, and Jira Compensation

The base pay range for new hires in the United States is determined by geographic pay zones: Zone A: $156,600 - $204,450; Zone B: $141,300 - $184,475; Zone C: $130,500 - $170,375.
