The Atlassian Global Events team drives customer engagement for the Atlassian brand and its portfolio of products. The team collaborates with sales, marketing, product and executive management to deliver Atlassian proprietary events and flagship experiences. The purpose of these events is to increase brand awareness, drive business growth, build loyalty and educate attendees. Principal Event Marketing Manager, Proprietary Events

is experienced in producing B2B technology events ranging from 100 to 5,000+ attendees for internal and external audiences. You will manage a portfolio of global touring events, lead vendor and venue partnerships, and work with contingent staff to execute programs that align with business objectives across various verticals and products. You will conduct leadership reviews and post-event debriefs to refine strategy, and ensure events reflect brand and program objectives. Your team may take on work stream ownership across flagship events, ensuring alignment to business outcomes. We’re seeking a strong communicator who can understand complex issues, anticipate challenges, solve problems, and support peers across the Global Events portfolio. Responsibilities

Lead program management and localization strategies for 14–18 annual events overseen by you and the contingent staff Collaborate with senior leadership to define event objectives, target audiences, and desired outcomes Develop event strategies and experiences with stakeholders to align with product roadmaps, messaging pillars, business priorities and executive vision Communicate objectives, project status and updates to team members and stakeholders regularly Directly manage and inspire internal and external cross-functional teams supporting customer-facing programs Understand customer needs and deliver both in-person and digital events to meet business objectives Use data to build insights and strategies; measure ROI and event performance Design engaging, educational, and brand-aligned event experiences Implement feedback mechanisms to improve attendee experience and inform future events Address issues during events with quick and effective resolutions Demonstrate contract negotiation skills with multi-million-dollar budgets, monetization models, forecasting, and timely closeout of programs Build operational structures and processes to ensure efficient team collaboration across global cross-functional teams Continuously align event strategies with business needs while maintaining standards and guidelines Manage or engage best-in-class agency partners to deliver high-quality experiences Communicate the ROI story of events effectively Be a problem solver who is curious and thrives in a fast-paced environment Expected Results

10+ years of experience in event marketing roles within a brand or agency 5+ years with a high-growth enterprise technology company/client Excellent written and presentation skills for senior/executive audiences Direct experience producing various-sized event programs with strong attention to detail Project and budget management expertise; end-to-end event strategy experience Experience designing impactful attendee experiences and event design oversight Ability to build relationships with internal and external partners International project management experience, including localization and international budget/finance management Ability to multi-task, adapt to change, and stay productive Strong prioritization and ability to manage deliverables under pressure Ability to delegate effectively and build vendor relationships Willingness to manage all aspects of a program independently Desired, Not Required

Experience with Microsoft Office, Mac, G Suite, Confluence, and Jira Compensation

Base pay ranges for new hires in the United States are Zone A: $156,600 - $204,450; Zone B: $141,300 - $184,475; Zone C: $130,500 - $170,375. Compensation may include benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity. Location-based zones and eligibility are described by our pay zones. Benefits & Perks
