6-9 month contract (extension possible) Position Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead strategic, cloud-based application initiatives with a strong emphasis on Workday implementations, optimizations, and upgrades. This role will manage complex, cross-functional projects aligned with enterprise digital transformation goals, partnering with stakeholders across HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Workday project delivery, a strong understanding of SaaS implementation lifecycles, and a proven ability to drive structured, transparent execution in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll oversee projects from inception through delivery, ensuring alignment with scope, timeline, budget, and strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end delivery of Workday HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting projects and broader cloud application initiatives Define and manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables Apply Workday implementation methodologies and governance best practices Serve as the primary liaison for Workday workstreams and cross-functional teams Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors Coordinate resources across HR, Finance, IT, and external partners Monitor progress, track deliverables, and resolve blockers efficiently Proactively manage risks, issues, and change control processes Maintain project budgets and escalate variances appropriately Deliver consistent project updates, executive briefings, and stakeholder reports Track KPIs and ensure defined ROI is achieved Conduct post-implementation reviews to drive continuous improvement Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies Enforce quality assurance across all project deliverables Required Skills/Education: PMP certification or equivalent required Minimum 4+ years of Workday project management experience, including implementations and optimizations Deep understanding of Workday core modules (HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, Recruiting) Proven success managing cloud SaaS platforms and enterprise-wide transformation programs Strong proficiency in project planning, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination Experience with Workday integrations, data migration, and vendor methodologies preferred Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall/hybrid project methodologies Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Informatics, or related field About Seneca Resources At Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm, we are a trusted career partner.
