We are now looking for a Senior Manager/ Manager, Cost & Contracts, to join our Hong Kong Headquarter team to provide professional pre- and post-quantity surveying services, contract management/administration, cost control and finalisation of accounts for the assigned projects.

Responsibilities

Monitor all quantity surveying matters including procurement and tendering, contract administration, cost planning, cost control and final accounts Liaise on consultants\' invitation, contract terms, fees negotiation and appointment Liaise with consultants on pre-qualification of contractors and suppliers for the invitation to tendering Coordinate with consultants on procurement strategy, tender documentation, tender addenda, analysis and recommendation for award Advise on tendering and contractual arrangements based on design information available, current market situation, required time frame and other considerations Coordinate with consultants and site QS for various QS matters throughout the entire project stage Monitor the performance of QS consultants and site QS on contractual matters, variation costing and cost control in accordance with the agreed timeline and budget Liaise with departments and auditors in regards to the audit, compliance, financial matters and etc Prepare budget documentation based on available design information, implement cost control measures during design and construction stages Coordinate with consultants and site QS on timely completion of final accounts for the assigned projects Manage and monitor payment process, evaluation of variation order, claims and final account Preparation of monthly cost update report and cashflow forecast for senior management with all variations to date to reflect the anticipated final cost of the assigned projects Support project team in liaising with relevant government authorities on tendering requirements and etc Conduct research on vendor capabilities and deliverables; identify the pool of reliable vendors and suppliers Manage and negotiate the contract, tender and bulk purchasing discussions to obtain the optimum mix of price and quality Perform other work duties as assigned by the Contracts Director when needed Frequent travel may be required

Qualifications

Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline, with RICS/HKIS/AIQS professional qualifications Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience with hands-on experience in handling luxury hotel projects or large-scale mixed-use developments Exposure to developers and/or consultancy firms would be an advantage Strong knowledge in costing, cost control, contractual and drafting skills Excellent analytical, communication and negotiation skills Able to work independently and work well with internal & external stakeholders Excellent command of written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin); fluency in written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of multiple languages would be an advantage
