Job Description
AECOM is currently seeking a skilled
Project Assistant I
to support the dynamic and fast-paced Terminal 2 East (T2E) Program at San Diego International Airport. In this hands-on role, you’ll work closely with Project and Program Managers to provide essential administrative and technical support throughout all phases of a large-scale design and construction initiative. If you're a proactive problem-solver who thrives in high-energy environments, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Prepares documents including correspondence utilizing Airport Authority Processes for signatures. Distributes project documents, maintains project document logs. Manages the Contractors Change Order Request (COR) and Cost Schedule Verification Request (CSR) processes. Receive, record, review, transmit and track CORs and CSRs using Airport’s project management system. Reviews and monitors to ensure CORs and CSRs are addressed in a timely manner. Maintains all necessary logs in the project management system and or excel. Manages the Request for Information (RFI) submittal and design deliverable process including shop drawings, product data, product samples, test reports, design bulletin, and plan revision process. Receive record, review, transmit and track through resolution of the task. Maintains appropriate logs in excel, Prolog and the Authority’s Project Management System. Compiles, records, transmits for reviews, monitors review process, and tracks contract close out documents (O&M manuals, Certificates, as built and record documents, etc.). Creates Meeting Invites and provides support in preparation and distribution of meeting announcements and meeting notes. Prepares written directive and cost substantiation letters. Preparing and distributing staff reports and checklists. Researching and assembling information for records and reports. Reviewing invoices for conformance with contract provisions. Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
HS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education A valid Class C driver’s license and the ability to maintain eligibility under the Airport Authority’s Authorized Drivers Program. Successful clearance of TSA background check and drug/alcohol screening is a prerequisite working at the airport. Preferred Qualifications: 5 years of increasingly responsible technical, or administrative assistant/support experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience required. 2 years of facilities or construction industry’s project management system utilization experience preferred. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Additional Information
Sponsorship is not offered for this position, now or in the future. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $36.5 to $46.5.
