We are seeking a Windows Engineer to play a key role in our Cross Domain Resource Access (CDRA) program, ensuring seamless user access across on-premises and cloud environments during tenant and domain consolidation efforts. This role focuses on Windows technologies such as Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), file shares, DFS, security groups, and account provisioning.
The engineer will support pre-migration preparation, end-user testing, and post-migration troubleshooting to deliver a stable and secure environment for migrated users.
Responsibilities
Configure and troubleshoot SID History, DFS, and file share access for migrated users. Manage security groups, account provisioning, and access control across on-premises AD and Entra ID. Support the design and implementation of secure cross-domain resource access solutions. Document technical configurations, migration steps, and troubleshooting processes. Assist with end-user testing, validating access to applications, file shares, and resources post-migration. Collaborate with application owners and migration teams to resolve access and permissions issues. Provide technical support for migrated users, addressing login, access, and DFS issues. Resolve escalated tickets related to Active Directory, Entra ID, and Windows-based resource access. Requirements
Strong experience in Windows Server, Active Directory, DFS, and file share management. Hands-on knowledge of Entra ID (Azure AD) identity and access management. Proficiency in security group management, access provisioning, and SID History. Experience supporting large-scale domain migrations or tenant consolidations. Strong troubleshooting skills across on-premises and cloud environments. Familiarity with end-user testing, lab environments, and defect triage. Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills. Preferred: PowerShell scripting, exposure to Microsoft 365/Azure networking, experience with Zscaler, ITIL or service management frameworks. Seniority level
