John Stoddard Cancer Center, a service of UnityPoint Health – Des Moines, is among the top cancer programs in the nation and has been recognized as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program for over 45 years. It is a Breast Cancer Center and Clinical Radiopharmaceutical Therapy Center of Excellence. Our radiation oncology department is state-of-the-art and collaborative with a multidisciplinary team, providing navigation, patient support, nutrition, survivorship, genetic counseling, and wellness programs. We collaborate with clinical teams at John Stoddard Cancer Center to deliver care in Central Iowa.

Responsibilities Practice details:

Full-time position with predominantly outpatient practice. Inpatient care will be in collaboration with our exceptional hospitalist team.

Work closely with our expert radiation oncology team at UnityPoint Health – DM.

Be part of a strong medical group. UnityPoint Clinic employs the largest primary care network in the Des Moines metro and includes many employed medical and surgical specialists. We are aligned with community imaging, pathology, GI, and urology groups.

Enjoy the ease of our integrated electronic health record. EPIC is utilized across UnityPoint Health.

Be part of something bigger. UnityPoint Clinic has existing medical oncology practices in Waterloo and the Quad Cities. We deliver pediatric, adolescent and young adult oncology care to children and AYAs from across Iowa at Blank Children’s Hospital located in Des Moines.

You will have access to clinical trials through the National Cancer Institute’s Community Oncology Research Program and access to all resources of John Stoddard Cancer Center.

Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology

Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa

Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications

Eligible to work in the United States

H-1B and J-1 waiver available
