$140,100.00/yr - $245,200.00/yr Job Description Assumes 24-hour responsibility for multiple units or departments and/or multiple sites to develop and implement strategic plans, drive departmental goals and objectives, improve departmental performance, and hire, educate, evaluate, manage and develop staff. Job Responsibility Assumes 24-hour responsibility for multiple units or departments and/or multiple sites to develop and implement strategic plans, drive departmental goals and objectives, improve departmental performance and hire, educate, evaluate, manage and develop staff. Develops, articulates and executes a short-term (6 months - 1 year) strategic vision for areas of responsibility, including growth and business development, clinical management, patient care, budgeting, financial management, and quality management of responsible departments. Promotes System service standards and creates a patient focused caring environment while assuring that the individual needs of the patient are met. Leads a functional unit in multiple sites with larger portfolios by developing, communicating, and building consensus for goals/programs that support the business or region. Responsible for the overall coordination of assessment, planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the operations of multiple departments and functions within Patient Care Services. Drives the System, Hospital and Patient Care Services’ mission, vision, values and overall strategy. Functions as a key clinical and administrative leader and communicates regularly with, physician leadership, senior administration and departmental directors. Fosters an environment of collaboration and respect with physician, allied health, nursing colleagues and other healthcare team members. Oversees the execution of all departmental operational performance metrics. Examines budgetary variances and progress in budget management for multiple departments and communicates to executive administration. Oversees development and execution of the vision for nursing practice, care delivery systems, and processes across the organization. Creates a dynamic professional environment predicated on integrity, respect, shared decision-making and lifelong learning. Engages and impacts nursing practice on a local regional and national level. Promotes a milieu that blends inquiry, evidence-based practice, caring, compassion and ethical practice. Joins CNO in producing a shared vision for building relationships centered on trust and respect while embracing diversity and inspiring innovation. Connects the shared vision for internal and external customers to effectuate the organizational goals and the enterprise wide strategic plan. Inspires a leadership culture that upholds a healthy work environment. Advances effective plans for the delivery of nursing and allied health care to provide the safest and highest quality of patient and customer centric care. Promotes and advances a “just culture” approach to accountability where leaders assure staff feel safe to admit mistakes, report problems, and take ownership of their actions. Creates a structure to facilitate leadership development and succession planning. Assures the development and execution of quality/performance improvement programs using evidence based strategies and solutions. Develops, reviews and revises policy in accordance with regulatory and professional standards of care. Fosters a culture of collaboration across units, departments, & service lines to promote constructive dialogue and alignment of organizational goals. Performs related duties as required. Job Qualification Master's Degree in Nursing or related field, required. Bachelors or Masters must be in Nursing. Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications, as needed. 8-12 Years Of Technical Experience, Required. 7+ years of leadership/management experience, required.
