Head Athletic Trainer and Assistant Athletic Director
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated professional to serve as Athletic Trainer & Assistant Athletic Director, supporting the health, safety, and holistic development of student-athletes while contributing to the overall operations of the athletic program. This dual-role blends athletic training responsibilities with athletic administration. The successful candidate will serve as the school’s certified athletic trainer, providing comprehensive athletic health care services to student-athletes, while also assisting the Athletic Director with daily operations, event management, and long-term strategic initiatives. The Head Athletic Trainer & Assistant Athletic Director will foster and promote Catholic values throughout the athletic program. The Head Athletic Trainer & Assistant Athletic Director reports directly to the Athletic Director.
Responsibilities
Athletic Trainer:
Provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for student-athletes.
Maintain accurate medical records and injury reports in compliance with NJSIAA and school policies.
Coordinate with outside medical providers and families regarding student-athlete care.
Manage athletic training room operations, including inventory, equipment maintenance, and recovery modalities.
Implement emergency action plans for athletic events and practices.
Educate student-athletes and coaches on injury prevention, nutrition, hydration, and wellness.
Assistant Athletic Director:
Assist the Athletic Director with scheduling, transportation, and communication related to athletic contests.
Support game-day operations, including set-up, supervision, and liaison with officials.
Oversee compliance with NJSIAA, Olympic Conference, and school policies.
Serve as a visible leader and role model, fostering a culture of sportsmanship and excellence.
Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director and/or President.
Qualifications
Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers.
Licensed (or eligible for licensure) as an Athletic Trainer in the State of New Jersey.
CPR/AED and First Aid certification required.
Minimum 2 years of athletic training or athletic administration experience preferred (high school or collegiate level).

Head Athletic Trainer & Assistant Athletic Director is a 10-month position.
