Serco Serco is seeking a Data Analyst to support NAVSEA 04 (Industrial Operations) strategic planning products. This individual will provide direct support to NAVSEA 04’s mission of getting ships to sea and keeping them ready. This hybrid position will be located in Washington, DC - Washington Navy Yard. This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain your active Secret level clearance. Serco’s Naval Acquisition and Sustainment Operation is part of our high-performing Maritime, Engineering, Technology, and Sustainment Business Unit which provides critical services to nearly all U.S. Navy surface ships, submarines and craft and is achieving truly impactful outcomes. Responsibilities
Organize material, perform data analytics, and completes writing assignments according to set standards regarding clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology Create and/or update databases and spreadsheet-analysis data in electronic formats compatible with NAVSEA-approved, web-based document sharing initiatives in support of Naval Sustainment Systems-Shipyards (NSS-SY) programs Create and provide information management support, including the monitoring, maintenance, and access management of SEA 04 information on NMCI Non-classified Internet Protocol Network (NIPRNET) and Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET) share drives Fix or remove incorrect, corrupt, incorrectly formatted, duplicate, or incomplete data within a dataset Gather and analyze technical information from various sources and create EXCEL/ SQL queries to retrieve specific information and parameters from database(s) Apply data mining techniques to large data sets to identify patterns, relationships and behaviors Analyze, interpret and draw conclusions from data, and identify problems, solutions and opportunities using the analysis Create and deliver graphical representations to best display information and convey concepts Interpret and analyze data, behaviors and processes, trends and situations and recommended solutions Understand and articulate root causes. Ensures analytics are usable, actionable, and valuable for today and predictive of the future Define Key Performance Indices (KPIs) and metrics for measuring success. Qualifications
Must have the ability to maintain your active DoD Secret clearance U.S Citizenship Required Bachelor’s degree in any technical or managerial discipline is required Minimum 5 year’s experience compiling, maintaining, verifying and interpreting data in accordance with plans developed by others Five years of professional experience in the Defense Department or U.S. Navy acquisition process, program management, technical, or business management Experience with Qlik, Databricks, Power BI, and Tableau is preferred Ability to travel up to 10% Physical Requirements:
The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation: Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer Additional desired experience and skills:
