Job Summary:

Fairleigh Dickinson University is seeking experienced educators to serve as clinical supervisors for graduate students in School of Education programs. For the fall semester, this role will support either paraprofessionals participating in FDU's PARE (Paraprofessional Alternate Route Educators) Grant Program or Reading Specialists employed in schools throughout New Jersey. PARE Program Supervisors will support paraprofessionals in Bergen County, New Jersey transitioning into certified teaching roles by providing mentorship, observation, and evaluation during their clinical practicum placements.

Supervisors will serve as liaisons between FDU and partnering schools, ensuring alignment between university expectations and school-based practices. Supervisors will conduct observations using FDU approved inventories. This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the development of future educators.

Key Responsibilities

Observe and evaluate paraprofessional teacher or Reading Specialist candidates during their practicum placements. Conduct goal-setting, pre-observation, and post-observation conferences at least every other week during the semester (PARE) or three times during the semester (Reading Specialist). Provide timely, constructive written and verbal feedback. Collaborate regularly with cooperating teachers and school personnel. Submit observation reports, competency inventories, and final evaluations using FDU's data management system. Attend required orientations, training sessions, and supervisor meetings. Communicate consistently with the Director of Field Placement and respective graduate program directors regarding candidate progress and concerns. Support candidates in integrating university curriculum with school-based practices. Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Education or a closely related field. Minimum of 5 years of teaching or administrative experience. Demonstrated expertise in mentoring or supervising educators. Experience working in urban or underserved school settings. Strong communication and organizational skills. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment

Preferred Qualifications:
