This is a fully onsite position at a Thermo Fisher location.

This is currently a 2-year funded project role.

How will you make an impact?

As the Sr. Staff Project Manager, BPG, you will be at the forefront of leading cross-functional projects and programs from concept to completion. Your expertise will ensure the successful delivery of initiatives across the BioProduction group. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to drive high-visibility projects. You will partner with Executive Sponsors to implement key initiatives, handle budgets, and coordinate progress, ensuring outstanding outcomes!

What will you do?

Own end-to-end success of projects/programs/portfolios, ensuring accountability, and execution of timelines to deliver timely results

Ensure that all project/program/portfolios are delivered within scope and budget

Develop project/program/portfolio scopes and objectives, involving all relevant cross-functional collaborators and ensure resource availability and allocation

Identify key issues and risks, recommend options which are supported by a clear fact set and analysis, facilitate and drive individual and team decisions

Develop detailed plans to supervise progress and maintain action logs

Lead project execution to ensure the effective deployment of standard project management tools

Measure performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques

Build and maintain comprehensive documentation and prepare reports for executive leadership

Challenge existing processes

Effectively work together with individuals across all hierarchies within a complexly structured business

How will you get here?

Bachelors' Degree in Science/Technical/Business field

PMP certification is a plus

Experience

8+ years of project/program management and team leadership experience with a solid track record in successfully leading projects/programs from start to finish

Life Science, Biotech or Pharmaceutical expertise required.

Experience leading large, sophisticated projects/programs with minimal mentorship spanning over 12+ months

Experience managing budgets (CAPEX & OPEX) over $3M

Experience managing projects/program return $5M+ of benefit back to the business

Ability to collaborate with diverse audiences, including senior leadership, and effectively navigate in a matrix environment

Ability to manage multiple global projects/programs (3+) and interface effectively with team members and across multiple departments, regions, and countries

Solid understanding of formal project management methodologies

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus

Meaningful experience with Lean / Six Sigma experience in an industrial environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Capability to collaborate and deliver presentations across all interpersonal hierarchies, including Senior Vice Presidents/General Managers.

Strong commercial knowledge

Strong familiarity with project management standards and methodologies including PMI Body of Knowledge

Effective executive presentation skills

Structured working style, capable of balancing multiple projects/programs simultaneously

Great teammate who can build strong professional relationships

Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, using a focused approach to critical thought

Strong interpersonal and organizational influence skills

Strong attention to detail, time management

Process Improvement (PPI / Six-Sigma) experience preferred

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Tennessee is $118,100.00-$180,000.00.
