Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of construction project management from planning to implementation. Allocate resources for assigned projects. Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients. Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs. Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications. Prepare and present reports on the progress and success of each project to stakeholders and senior management. Ensure all necessary permits and legal paperwork are in place. Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards. Direct the coordination of all project activities for timely completion. Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced. Continually review the contractor's construction schedule during the progress of site works with regards to project completion deadlines. Ensure all work complies with building regulations and health and safety legislation. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field. Minimum of 6 years' experience in construction project management, preferably within the retail, restaurant, education, and healthcare sectors. Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software. Professional Project Management (PMP) certification is a plus. Knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations. Demonstrated ability to lead a team and drive projects to completion. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
