As a

Senior Digital Operations Engineer,

you will develop automations & enhancements to streamline our Digital Operations, Data Engineering & Support activities. You will work with other technical experts and engineers to resolve complex issues across our digital ecosystem. Join our innovative team and contribute to building the next generation of automation & operational improvements! Responsibilities

Proactively identify automation opportunities across a complex technology landscape. Gather requirements, propose automation solutions, and lead execution/development. Support digital applications and components to build better operational capabilities (on-call required) Develop, deploy, maintain and optimize automation tools, scripts, and agents. Create bespoke solutions/capabilities/tools using Python, SQL, AWS, Streamlit, Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Copilot Studio and others. Requirements

Software Product Design/Architecture:

Knowledge of software product design; ability to convert market requirements into the software product design. Software Development:

Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements. Software Development Life Cycle:

Knowledge of software development life cycle; ability to use a structured methodology for delivering and managing new or enhanced software products to the marketplace. Software Product Testing:

Knowledge of software product testing; ability to design, plan, and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure software product quality and adherence to stated requirements. Decision Making and Critical Thinking:

Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Preferred Qualifications

Extensive experience with software development & scripting, with a focus on solutioning and automation of routine tasks & processes Experience & passion for supporting production applications, services, components, or cloud infrastructure – data, APIs, services, UI/front-end Hands-on technical expertise with AWS/Azure, Snowflake, Python/Java, Full-Stack Development or Full-Stack Support Hands-on technical expertise with RBAC, IAM, entitlements & roles, and access management Experience with Agile methodology & tooling (Azure DevOps preferred), as well as CI/CD & software development lifecycle Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer, Including Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities.
