Caring. Connecting. Growing together. As a Radiology Appointment Coordinator, you'll play a key role in scheduling patient appointments. You'll gather important clinical, demographic, and insurance information while using essential applications to efficiently manage bookings as per the requests of patients, providers, or representatives. This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 5:00pm EST, with occasional overtime or weekend shifts as needed. Our office is located at Cianchette Bldg, 43 Whiting Hill Rd Brewer, Maine 04412. Key Responsibilities: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting visitors and patients either in person or by phone. Process requests from patients, providers, and insurance payers to facilitate scheduling. Efficiently schedule appointments across multiple facilities for various services including diagnostic tests and procedures. Manage scheduling tasks such as confirming, rescheduling, and canceling patient appointments across multiple modalities. Collaborate with departments regarding unclear orders or necessary adjustments. Maintain meticulous documentation of scheduling changes and reasons for alterations. Understand phone metrics and their impact on service levels. Complete patient registrations accurately and in a timely manner. Work closely with scheduling leadership to enhance processes and workflows. Ensure a safe environment by adhering to NLH policies and promptly reporting any safety hazards. Assist with additional tasks as assigned. Embark on a role where your performance is recognized and rewarded. At least 1 year of experience in a medical office setting, directly interacting with patients. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in email, data entry, and software applications. Compliance with full flu vaccination and potential booster requirements, as necessitated by state regulations. Availability to work during designated hours including potential overtime or weekends. Must reside within a commutable distance to 43 Whiting Hill Rd, Brewer, Maine 04412. Preferred Qualifications: Associate's Degree in healthcare administration, finance, business, or related fields. Experience in call centers and medical office environments. Familiarity with medical terminology. Soft Skills: Embody organizational values and practices in daily responsibilities. Champion patient-centered care with respect for diverse experiences and maintaining integrity with sensitive information. Ability to work independently and collaboratively to foster a positive workplace environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills across various personnel. Capable of navigating necessary applications and fulfilling job duties proficiently. Possess a self-driven attitude to prioritize and manage diverse tasks efficiently. Physical and Work Environment: Job may require lifting no more than 10 pounds; walking and standing may be necessary to execute duties. Our compensation package includes a competitive salary based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package. The hourly wage for this role spans from $16.00 to $27.69, contingent upon full-time employment. We are fully compliant with local minimum wage laws.
