Patient Care Coordination Associate
serves as a vital first point of contact for patients preparing for appointments. This role emphasizes excellent customer service and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that patient details are accurately pre-registered before their service date. Our office is located at 43 Whiting Hill Road Brewer, ME 04412. Enjoy 3-6 weeks of paid training conducted onsite to ensure you are fully prepared for your role. Key Responsibilities: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, providers, and other departments over the phone and in person. Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information, updating records to ensure accuracy. Engage with other departments to help address patient queries and needs. Facilitate discussions with patients regarding benefits and collect copays or liabilities prior to service. Monitor department service metrics, including service level and abandonment rates. Meet or exceed departmental productivity and audit goals while adhering to policies and procedures. Escalate pending issues to department leadership to facilitate timely patient services. Verify insurance coverage and benefits, updating patient encounters as necessary. Perform additional duties as requested. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED (or higher). 6+ months of experience in an office or customer service environment (in-person or over the phone). Basic proficiency in computer skills and Windows applications, with capacity to learn complex systems. Influenza vaccination for the current flu season or commitment to receive it when available. Availability to work full-time from 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, Monday - Friday. Must be 18 years of age or older. Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of registration experience in a healthcare setting. Familiarity with medical terminology. Understanding of insurance policies and procedures. Previous experience with Northern Light Health. Compensation is based on multiple factors, including local labor markets, education, and work experience, with hourly pay ranging from $16.00 to $27.69 for full-time employment.
